I did this little gif for my bestest buddy. It’s one of her characters from a story she works on with another friend. His name is William and he’s Finnish (and a dork, but that’s redundant - joking!) I had a lot of fun with it. Someday I’ll animate something much more involved for her. Cheers.

I do a little animation here and there. It’s really time consuming but the payoff of finishing even a couple of frames is so rewarding. I don’t quite know why this gif is moving so slowly in the preview but that’s okay, it’s an oldie anyways.

Hey it’s that little guy again! What’s with him? That’s him after a major makeover actually, I had to simplify his design so I could draw him faster….. As you can see I was totally successful. I did this page for a C.E. class I took with a friend at SVA. I was supposed to do MORE THAN ONE but I’ve never been a good student. I even changed styles and mediums in the middle of the class. We did have a great time during that little course, though! And we made friends with our teacher too, she’s an artist who pops up at MOCCA every year. You can find her at the Rabid Rabbit table.
P.S. I know the panels on the bottom are stiff and awkward. I think I stopped caring after I got halfway through the speed lines.

I feel kind of bad! This is one of those high-hopes-for paintings I started 2 years ago and never finished. Everyone has those really ambitious projects that you start and halfway through it’s either taking too much time, or not coming out right, and the magic just sort of fizzles. Now this fuzzball is doomed to stay in art-limbo for all eternity, his weird button eyes will never be replaced with real ones :(

I’m noticing…

Post XVI

I’m noticing here on my blog that almost every single one of my drawings is a floating head. Now that I think about it, it must be very difficult to achieve much in life if you’re just a big floating head. New month’s resolution: draw more bodies.

My roommate is going to say I told you so!
